Anchorage Digital adds institutional access to Frgmnt’s fUSD and sfUSD
Frgmnt has partnered with Anchorage Digital to give institutional clients access to its fUSD stablecoin and sfUSD staking product through Anchorage’s existing custody infrastructure.

Frgmnt announced a partnership with Anchorage Digital that enables institutional clients to hold, mint, stake, unstake and redeem the protocol’s fUSD stablecoin and its sfUSD staking token using Anchorage’s regulated custody platform.
How the integration works
Institutions can perform the full fUSD lifecycle—minting against USDC, holding the token, staking it for sfUSD, and later unstaking and redeeming—without establishing a separate custody arrangement. Both assets operate on Base, Coinbase’s Ethereum layer‑2 network.
Underlying mechanics
fUSD is minted 1:1 against USDC. The USDC backing is deployed across selected on‑chain lending markets, generating rewards that are distributed to sfUSD holders. Users who stake fUSD receive sfUSD and earn the protocol‑derived rewards.
Anchorage’s role and recent expansions
Anchorage Digital Bank, a federally chartered and OCC‑regulated entity, provides custody, staking, trading and settlement services. The firm has recently added several on‑chain services, including Lido’s wrapped staked Ether and off‑exchange settlement with Binance. The Frgmnt integration follows other stablecoin collaborations, such as regulated custody for CADD (Canadian dollar) and issuance of Western Union’s USDPT stablecoin.
Timeline and availability
Frgmnt plans to open its next capped deposit wave in September, allowing additional institutional participants to access the fUSD/sfUSD offering through Anchorage.
Implications for institutional on‑chain finance
The partnership gives funds, corporate treasuries and fintech firms a route to on‑chain lending and staking while keeping assets within familiar institutional infrastructure.
