Binance Expands Bstocks Collateral as Tokenized Stock Volumes Jump 33x

Binance announced on September 21, 2026 that its tokenized equity suite, bStocks, is now available as collateral for all eligible retail and institutional users across portfolio‑margin and cross‑margin accounts.

Broader Collateral Access

Previously limited to high‑volume VIP 3+ accounts, bStocks collateral support has been opened to VIP 0–2 users as well. Users can borrow quote assets and purchase bStocks with up to 5× leverage, while the tokens remain eligible for dividend distributions.

Trading Volume Surge

Since its launch in June 2026, bStocks has generated more than $30 billion in cumulative trading volume and captured roughly 85 % of tokenized‑equity DEX volume in July. Year‑to‑date, tokenized‑stock trading volume has risen 33 times, outpacing the four‑fold growth in market capitalization.

Risk Management Measures

To safeguard system stability, Binance has deployed automated risk controls for VIP 0–2 accounts. Accounts that breach predefined risk thresholds will face temporary operational limits, which are lifted once margin levels return to safe ranges. VIP 3+ accounts remain exempt from these caps.

Strategic Use Cases

Tokenized equities can now serve dual purposes: they act as collateral for futures and margin positions while also providing a hedge against short positions. This integration allows traders to manage crypto and equity exposure within a single portfolio.

New Token Listings

Binance has added fully backed 1:1 tokenized securities for select U.S. stocks, including Circle and Nvidia, further expanding the on‑chain equity offering.
