Binance flags four tokens and removes 14 from Alpha

Binance announced two separate actions on September 4: it placed four cryptocurrencies under a Monitoring Tag and removed fourteen tokens from its Binance Alpha recommendation list. Both measures keep trading, withdrawal and selling functions open, but signal heightened risk and possible future delisting.

Monitoring Tag applied to four tokens

The exchange added AVA, GNS, SCR and TOWNS to its Monitoring Tag list. Tokens with this tag remain tradable on Spot and Margin markets, but Binance will conduct more frequent reviews. If a project fails to meet the exchange’s standards—covering liquidity, development activity, network security, tokenomics and team conduct—the token could be delisted.

Users trading these assets must complete a risk‑awareness quiz every 90 days and accept Binance’s terms, ensuring they understand the higher volatility and potential for removal.

Fourteen tokens removed from Binance Alpha

At 16:30 UTC+8, Binance Alpha removed the following assets from its early‑stage token discovery list: MTP, BDXN, TALE, BOS, MAIGA, TIMI, SAROS, U, SERAPH, RVV, AIAV, PENGUIN, ODOS and SN3. The removal does not affect the tokens’ listings on Binance’s main spot market; users can still withdraw or sell them via the Alpha interface.

Alpha is a feature within Binance Wallet that showcases projects with limited liquidity and higher price volatility. Removal indicates the projects did not meet Alpha’s standards after the latest review, but Binance did not disclose individual reasons.

Implications for traders

Both actions serve as warnings rather than immediate delistings. Binance may lift the Monitoring Tag if a project addresses identified concerns, while Alpha removal does not trigger a full spot delisting. Traders are advised to conduct independent research and monitor any future announcements regarding trading, deposit or withdrawal deadlines.
