Binance to remove four USDC spot pairs on Sept. 18

Binance will remove four USDC spot pairs involving BREV, COOKIE, LA and QNT on Sept. 18 while keeping the underlying tokens tradable.

Binance announced that four USDC‑denominated spot trading pairs will cease trading on 18 September at 03:00 UTC. The affected pairs are BREV/USDC, COOKIE/USDC, LA/USDC and QNT/USDC.

What is being removed

The exchange will close the four USDC markets but will continue to support the base tokens through other quote assets. For example, BREV will remain available via BREV/USDT, COOKIE via COOKIE/USDT, LA via LA/USDT and QNT via QNT/USDT.

Reason for the delisting

Binance said the decision follows its periodic market review process and cites poor liquidity and low trading volume as factors that can lead to the removal of a spot pair.

Impact on trading bots

Spot Trading Bots that were configured for the four USDC pairs will terminate at the same 03:00 UTC deadline. Users are advised to update or cancel those bots before the market closure to avoid unintended losses.

Tokens remain on Binance

The removal applies only to the specific USDC pairs; it does not affect deposits, withdrawals, or the availability of the underlying assets on Binance Spot. Each token continues to trade on other markets, often with USDT as the quote currency.

Context of Binance’s market consolidation

Binance has previously removed dozens of spot pairs for similar liquidity reasons while keeping the assets listed. The current action is part of that ongoing review and is limited to the four USDC pairs.
