US-listed Bitcoin exchange‑traded funds (ETFs) attracted $986.9 million in net inflows for the week ending 4 September, according to SoSoValue data. This inflow grew 6.7 % from the previous week, while major alt‑coin products saw sharp declines.
Alt‑coin inflows tumble
During the same period, inflows into Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP (XRP) and Hyperliquid (HYPE) products dropped between 73 % and 96 %. The decline follows a week of strong gains for these assets, indicating a slowdown in buying rather than a net outflow of capital.
Previous week contrast
In the week ending 28 August, Bitcoin ETFs recorded $924.5 million in inflows, about half of the $1.92 billion captured a week earlier. Alt‑coin products posted notable gains: Solana ETFs rose 443 % to $153.9 million, XRP funds increased 178 % to $110.5 million, and Hyperliquid funds reached $56.9 million. Those gains largely disappeared within five trading days, with modest inflows of $6.2 million (Solana), $19 million (XRP) and $12.3 million (Hyperliquid) recorded thereafter.
Trading activity and price movement
Overall trading volume cooled. Bitcoin fund turnover fell to $14.5 billion from nearly $19 billion, while Ethereum turnover dropped to $4.1 billion. Spot prices remained narrow: Bitcoin rose 2.58 %, Ethereum 1.09 %, XRP 3.02 %, Hyperliquid 5.76 %, and Solana 0.18 % over the five‑day span. Bitcoin opened Friday at its highest level since 12 May, amid comments from Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller and a strong August employment report.
Outlook
The upcoming August inflation reading, scheduled for 11 September, will test whether the recent Bitcoin inflow momentum can be sustained amid broader market caution.
