Bitcoin ETFs Attract $731 Million as BTC Breaks $80K
U.S. bitcoin ETFs recorded $730.87 million in net inflows on Thursday, the third‑largest single‑day haul of 2026, as bitcoin surged above $80,000. Ether, XRP and Solana ETFs also posted gains.

Bitcoin’s price climbing past $80,000 sparked a wave of institutional buying into U.S. crypto exchange‑traded funds (ETFs). The inflow was led by bitcoin funds, but ether, XRP and Solana ETFs also saw net purchases, lifting the broader crypto‑ETF market.
Bitcoin ETFs see third‑biggest daily inflow of 2026
Bitcoin ETFs attracted $730.87 million in net new capital on Thursday, marking the largest daily inflow since January 14 and the third‑largest single‑day total of the year. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) accounted for $453.96 million of the flow, followed by Ark & 21Shares’ ARKB with $137.74 million and Fidelity’s FBTC with $74.45 million. Smaller contributions came from Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust, Bitwise’s BITB, and Morgan Stanley’s MSBT. Two funds recorded outflows: VanEck’s HODL ($19.58 million) and WisdomTree’s BTCW ($5.16 million). Trading value across all bitcoin ETFs rose to $4.77 billion, pushing total net assets above $100 billion to $103.34 billion.
Ether ETFs rebound strongly
Ether ETFs recovered from a prior outflow, pulling in $141.39 million. BlackRock’s ETHA led with $72.07 million, while Fidelity’s FETH added $65.11 million. Invesco’s QETH, Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust, and BlackRock’s ETHB contributed smaller amounts. Grayscale’s ETHE recorded a $6.07 million outflow. Ether ETF trading volume reached $1.12 billion, and net assets closed at $15.92 billion.
Positive flows into XRP and Solana ETFs
XRP ETFs recorded $6.14 million in inflows, split evenly between Franklin’s XRPZ and Bitwise’s XRP fund. Trading value for XRP ETFs was $71.61 million, with net assets at $1.55 billion. Solana ETFs attracted $6.40 million, led by Grayscale’s GSOL ($4.38 million) and Bitwise’s BSOL ($2.02 million). Net assets for Solana ETFs ended the day at $1.46 billion.
Market outlook
Investors now look ahead to Friday’s U.S. August jobs report, which is expected to show roughly 56,000 new payrolls and an unemployment rate of 4.1%. A softer labor reading could affect expectations for the Federal Reserve’s September policy meeting and, consequently, the next direction for bitcoin and the broader crypto market.
