Bitdeer Adds 1.93 EH/s of Bitcoin Mining Power at Soluna’s Texas Wind Farm

Bitdeer Technologies Group announced that its subsidiary Dory Creek will deploy its own Sealminer A2 Pro Air machines at Soluna Holdings’ Project Kati 1 in Willacy County, Texas. The deployment, slated to begin in September 2026, will add about 1.93 EH/s of hashpower and consume roughly 28 MW of the wind‑powered data center’s capacity.

Deal Structure and Revenue Sharing

Under the agreement, Soluna provides the site, electricity and daily operations, while Bitdeer supplies and owns the mining hardware. Instead of a traditional hosting fee, the two companies will split the bitcoin mining proceeds generated by the deployment.

Bitdeer’s Mining and AI Portfolio

Bitdeer reported 73 EH/s of self‑mining capacity and an additional 15.9 EH/s committed to co‑mining in its June 2026 update, producing 990 BTC in June and 2,694 BTC in the second quarter. The new Texas deployment adds to this hashpower without requiring Bitdeer to secure additional land or power infrastructure.

Simultaneously, Bitdeer is expanding its artificial‑intelligence (AI) and high‑performance computing (HPC) operations. The company targets up to 350 MW of AI cloud data‑center capacity by Q1 2028, including a $400 million revenue contract for a 9.5 MW facility in Malaysia and a $4.7 billion, 16‑year lease for 121 MW in Norway.

Soluna’s Parallel AI Projects

While Kati 1 remains focused on bitcoin mining—hosting both Galaxy Digital’s 48 MW operation and Bitdeer’s new fleet—Soluna’s Kati 2 and Dorothy 3 projects are being positioned for AI and HPC workloads. This separation allows Soluna to pursue AI growth without disrupting the existing mining economics of Kati 1.

Investors will monitor the speed at which the 28 MW capacity comes online, the performance of the shared‑revenue model, and how Soluna may apply similar co‑mining arrangements as demand for both bitcoin and AI computing intensifies.
