BitMine adds 53,501 ETH, pushing treasury to 5.9 million tokens

BitMine Immersion Technologies announced the purchase of 53,501 ETH during the week ending August 30, bringing its Ethereum treasury to 5,901,112 ETH. At the reporting price of $2,511 per ETH, the position was valued at roughly $14.8 billion, while the market price of $2,464 placed the value at about $14.5 billion.
Continued weekly buying
The acquisition marks the 65th consecutive week BitMine has added ETH since launching its treasury strategy on June 30, 2025. Weekly purchases have accelerated compared with earlier periods, with recent weeks seeing additions of 9,946 ETH, 9,926 ETH and 32,447 ETH.
Share of Ethereum supply
BitMine now controls approximately 4.9 % of the reported 120.7 million‑token Ethereum supply, just short of its 5 % target of about 6.04 million ETH.
Staking activity and revenue
Of the total balance, 5,067,309 ETH (about 85.9 %) is staked through BitMine’s MAVAN validator network and partner validators. At current prices, the staked portion is worth roughly $12.5 billion. Management estimates the staked ETH generates $335 million in annualized revenue, with potential to rise to $390 million if more tokens are deployed.

Beyond Ethereum, BitMine reported holdings of 211 BTC, a $180 million investment in Beast Industries, an $81 million stake in Eightco Holdings, and $541 million in cash and marketable securities. The combined value of crypto assets, cash, securities and strategic investments was reported at $15.6 billion.
