Bitmine Immersion Technologies Nears 5% Ownership of Ethereum Supply

Bitmine Immersion Technologies (ticker: BMNR) has continued its weekly purchases of ether, adding 27,562 ETH in the most recent week. The acquisition brings the company’s total holdings to 5,983,940 ETH, representing roughly 4.9% of the circulating supply of about 122.1 million ETH.

Accumulation Milestone

The company has bought ETH every week since June 30 2025, and the current stash is valued at approximately $16.1 billion based on a price of $2,688 per ETH. Bitmine is now only about 121,000 ETH away from its publicly stated goal of owning 5% of all ether.

Staking Strategy

Bitmine has staked 5,067,309 ETH, roughly 85% of its treasury, through its institutional staking operation, MAVAN. The staking activity generated a 2.62% seven‑day annualized yield, translating to projected annual revenue of $357 million, with a potential increase to $421 million if the entire ETH balance were staked at the same rate.

Broader Asset Base

In addition to ether, Bitmine holds 212 BTC, $714 million in cash and marketable securities, and equity stakes in other companies. The total value of its crypto, cash, and “moonshot” holdings is reported at $17.1 billion.

Market Reaction

Bitmine’s stock (BMNR) closed at $25.99, up 8.79% on the day, after trading roughly 65 million shares. Over the past 12 months, the stock has been about 56% lower, reflecting broader market conditions.

Outlook

Chairman Tom Lee has stated that a crypto bull market is underway, citing factors such as a rotation from AI to crypto and the end of a four‑year cycle. He highlighted ether’s outperformance in the current quarter.
