Chainlink launches six U.S. economic data feeds on ten blockchains

Chainlink has made six official U.S. economic data feeds covering GDP, inflation, and private domestic demand available across 10 public blockchain networks.

Chainlink announced that six official U.S. economic data feeds – real Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index, and Real Final Sales to Private Domestic Purchasers – are now live on ten public blockchains. Each indicator is provided through two feeds: one for the current level and one for the quarter‑over‑quarter change expressed as an annualized rate.

Supported networks

The initial rollout includes Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Botanix, Linea, Mantle, Optimism, Sonic, and ZKsync. Chainlink said additional networks can be added based on user demand.

Feed structure and update schedule

  • Real GDP – level in billions of chained 2017 dollars and annualized quarterly change.
  • PCE Price Index – headline level (2017 = 100) and annualized quarterly change.
  • Real Final Sales to Private Domestic Purchasers – level in chained 2017 dollars and annualized quarterly change.

Updates follow the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) publication calendar, with monthly or quarterly releases depending on the indicator.

Potential on‑chain uses

Chainlink highlighted several use cases for the feeds, including inflation‑linked digital assets, prediction markets, perpetual futures, automated trading strategies, and risk‑adjustment dashboards for DeFi protocols. The feeds enable smart contracts to reference official macroeconomic statistics without manual data entry.

Security and compliance

The oracle infrastructure behind the feeds holds ISO 27001 certification and a SOC 2 Type 1 attestation, underscoring the security controls governing the service.

Background

The U.S. Department of Commerce partnered with Chainlink (and Pyth Network) to place selected BEA data on public blockchains. The arrangement was first announced in August 2025, when the Commerce Department distributed second‑quarter GDP data across nine networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana.
