Stanley Druckenmiller's Duquesne Family Office Puts $88M Behind Bitdeer and Hyperliquid Strategies
Legendary investor Stanley Druckenmiller's Duquesne Family Office has disclosed significant investments totaling over $80 million in Bitdeer and Hyperliquid Strategies.

Legendary investor Stanley Druckenmiller, heading the Duquesne Family Office, has entered the digital assets ecosystem by disclosing notable investments in publicly traded bitcoin miner Bitdeer and decentralized trading-focused platform hyperliquid">Hyperliquid Strategies. According to an August 13F filing for Q2 holdings, the firm poured over $80 million into these digital asset-related stock picks.
Multi-Million Dollar Stake in Bitdeer
During the second quarter, Duquesne acquired 4.1 million shares of Bitdeer Technologies Group (BTDR) valued at over $64.7 million, with an average purchase price of $12.26. This move positions Bitdeer as a major holding within the billionaire's portfolio.
Bitdeer operates global data centers and manufactures cryptocurrency mining hardware. The company recently reported improving quarter-over-quarter net and gross loss percentages, closed a substantial 16-year, $4.7 billion AI deal in Norway, and started construction on a Nevada plant expected to produce 10,000 Sealminer units monthly by next year. Major institutional funds, including Jane Street and Ken Griffin's Citadel, also substantially increased their BTDR holdings during the same period.
Indirect Exposure to Hyperliquid via PURR
In addition to mining infrastructure, Druckenmiller gained indirect exposure to the decentralized exchange ecosystem by purchasing 2.9 million shares of Hyperliquid Strategies (PURR) valued at $23.1 million.
Hyperliquid Strategies acts as a treasury company providing capital-efficient access to the HYPE token for institutional and U.S. investors. HYPE recently reached record highs following announcements regarding regulatory compliance developments led by CFTC Chairman Michael Selig. The resulting rally lifted PURR shares by over 20%, benefiting institutional participants such as BlackRock, State Street, and Citadel, which also expanded their PURR positions in Q2.
