Ether and XRP ETFs see outflows as Bitcoin climbs above $77,000

U.S. spot Ether ETFs recorded a third day of net outflows totaling about $39 million, while Bitcoin ETFs attracted roughly $159 million and Zcash funds added nearly $47 million amid broader market gains.

U.S. spot Ether exchange‑traded funds (ETFs) posted about $39 million in net outflows on Thursday, marking the third consecutive day of withdrawals after $224 million left on Wednesday and $141 million on Tuesday, according to SoSoValue. Despite the outflows, Ether itself rose 2 % to roughly $2,470.

ETF Flow Highlights

  • Ether ETFs: ~ $39 million net outflow (third day in a row)
  • XRP ETFs: ~ $5 million net outflow, reversing a prior inflow
  • Bitcoin ETFs: ~ $159 million net inflow
  • Zcash fund: ~ $47 million net inflow, its strongest day this month

Market Performance

All major cryptocurrencies posted gains. Zcash led with a 10 % rise to about $1,488. Hyperliquid’s HYPE token was close behind, up nearly 10 % to just above $86. Solana gained 5 % to near $105, BNB rose about 4 % to $750, Dogecoin increased roughly 4 %, and both Ether and XRP rose 2 %.

Bitcoin advanced more than 1 % to approximately $77,216, breaking the $77,000 threshold.

Broader Market Context

Equities and bonds rallied as oil prices fell, easing inflation concerns following the Federal Reserve’s first rate hike since 2023. The S&P 500 rose about 1 %, the Nasdaq 100 nearly 2 %, and a chip‑maker index climbed 3 %. The 10‑year Treasury yield slipped, ending an eight‑day rise, while the dollar remained largely unchanged. Gold prices increased and Brent crude settled below $105 per barrel.

The decline in oil prices appears to have reduced inflation pressures, supporting simultaneous gains in stocks, bonds, and cryptocurrencies.
