Ether, XRP and Solana Record Weekly Gains as Bitcoin ETFs Lose $463M

U.S. crypto ETFs ended the holiday‑shortened week with roughly $263 million in combined net outflows, as heavy bitcoin redemptions overwhelmed continued demand for ether, XRP, and solana funds.

U.S. cryptocurrency exchange‑traded funds (ETFs) saw a net outflow of about $263 million for the week ending September 11, 2026. The outflow was driven primarily by large redemptions from bitcoin‑focused ETFs, while funds tied to ether, XRP and solana continued to attract capital.

Bitcoin ETFs Register Massive Outflows

Bitcoin ETFs lost a total of $462.73 million, ending a three‑week streak of net inflows. Redemptions occurred on each trading day from September 8 through September 11, with the largest daily outflow of $282.56 million on Thursday. The biggest weekly losers were Ark & 21Shares’ ARKB ($234.2 million) and Grayscale’s GBTC ($129.1 million). BlackRock’s IBIT and Fidelity’s FBTC each shed over $50 million, while Morgan Stanley’s MSBT was the only bitcoin ETF to record an inflow ($19.7 million).

Ether ETFs Attract Strong Capital

Ether‑linked ETFs posted a net inflow of $197.11 million, extending a four‑week winning streak. After a modest outflow on Tuesday, the category saw a $216.41 million inflow on Friday, more than the weekly net total. Turnover in ether ETFs rose about 54 % week over week to $5.14 billion, contrasting with a 28 % decline in bitcoin ETF turnover.

Positive Flows for XRP and Solana

XRP ETFs accumulated $18.98 million over the week, with notable inflows on Wednesday ($12.29 million). Solana ETFs added $10.30 million, driven largely by an $11.73 million inflow on Wednesday. Together, ether, XRP and solana ETFs attracted roughly $226 million of net new capital.

Macro and Regulatory Outlook

The Federal Reserve’s policy meeting on September 15‑16 could influence future ETF flows, with market expectations of a possible quarter‑point rate hike. In Washington, the Senate is set to vote on a revised CLARITY Act, which addresses digital‑asset market structure and ethics provisions. The outcome may affect institutional appetite for crypto ETFs in the coming weeks.
