U.S. Crypto ETFs See Broad Outflows After Labor Day, Bitcoin Leads Decline
Bitcoin ETFs recorded $46.65 million in net outflows on Tuesday, while XRP funds were the only major category to post inflows, attracting $1.55 million.

U.S. crypto exchange‑traded funds (ETFs) reopened after the Labor Day holiday with a clear shift toward risk aversion. All major Bitcoin, Ether, Solana and HYPE funds posted net outflows, while XRP ETFs were the sole category to finish the day in positive territory.
Bitcoin ETFs Lose Nearly $47 Million
Bitcoin‑focused ETFs saw a combined net outflow of $46.65 million. The largest redemptions came from Grayscale’s GBTC ($65.51 million), Fidelity’s FBTC ($17.05 million) and Invesco’s BTCO ($4.68 million). Despite inflows into Bitwise’s BITB ($14.47 million), BlackRock’s IBIT ($10.66 million), Ark & 21Shares’ ARKB ($8.06 million) and Morgan Stanley’s MSBT ($7.41 million), the overall balance remained negative.
Ether Funds Follow the Pullback
Ether ETFs posted $24.29 million in net outflows. Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust led the decline with a $24.61 million redemption, while the ETHE trust lost $9.57 million. Fidelity’s FETH attracted $9.89 million, partially offsetting the broader outflow.
Rising Interest in XRP Amid Broad Declines
XRP ETFs were the only major inflow generators, drawing $1.55 million, all of which went into Franklin’s XRPZ fund. The category’s net assets rose to $1.51 billion, offering a modest positive signal for XRP investors.
Other Funds Weaken
- HYPE ETFs recorded $12.96 million in outflows, with Bitwise’s BHYP losing $8.06 million and 21Shares’ THYP shedding $4.89 million.
- Solana ETFs slipped by $667,720, offset by a $502,730 inflow into 21Shares’ TSOL and a $1.17 million exit from Grayscale’s GSOL.
New TRX ETF Launches
The first U.S.-listed TRX ETF debuted on Cboe under the ticker TRXS. Staking rewards will be reinvested into the fund rather than paid out as cash.
Market Context
Daily trading volume across all crypto ETFs reached $2.41 billion, with total net assets closing at $99.52 billion. The outflows add pressure on Bitcoin’s price, which remained near $80 k, while XRP hovered around $1.50 ahead of upcoming market tests.
