Tokenized Equity Trading Hits Near $3 B Weekly Volume, Led by Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain and Solana
Weekly tokenized equity trading volume approached $3 billion in August, with Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain and Solana accounting for most activity. On‑chain financial use remains limited, with only about 5 % of the market deployed in lending or collateral applications.

Tokenized equity trading reached a new high in August, with weekly spot volume nearing $3 billion. The surge was driven primarily by three blockchain networks: Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain and Solana.
Dominant Networks
Robinhood Chain handled a significant share of the weekly volume, although the broader network activity is largely unrelated to tokenized stocks. The seven most‑traded tokenized stocks generated $4.3 billion in DEX volume over the prior 30 days, with three of those assets trading on Robinhood Chain.
BNB Chain’s tokenized equity market includes issuers such as Ondo Global Markets, bStocks, xStocks, Colb Finance and Paimon Finance. By late June, cumulative tokenized stock trading volume on BNB Chain surpassed $5.2 billion, and the network offered more than 700 tokenized stocks and ETFs.
Solana recorded $5.77 billion in tokenized‑asset volume for Q2, a 114 % increase from the previous quarter. Tokenized equities accounted for $4.8 billion of that total, marking the fourth consecutive quarterly record for the chain.
On‑Chain Financial Utilization
Despite the trading growth, only about 5 % of the tokenized equity market is deployed in on‑chain financial applications. Total value locked in these assets has now exceeded $110 million.
Lending protocols on Solana, notably Jupiter and Kamino, have seen tokenized equity usage increase roughly tenfold over the past year, indicating the early formation of a financial layer beyond pure trading.
Infrastructure and Regulation
Trading infrastructure for tokenized equities includes Uniswap, Pancakeswap and Raydium. Robinhood expanded its tokenized‑stock offering to European customers in 2025, initially on Arbitrum, and launched the Robinhood Chain mainnet on July 1 2026.
Regulators are evaluating the potential of tokenization to improve settlement efficiency while preserving investor protections. The SEC’s Investor Advisory Committee highlighted the possibility of single‑transaction settlement for tokenized shares and called for clear ownership disclosures and regulated intermediaries.
Outlook
Grayscale’s research suggests that broader adoption of tokenized equities as collateral and lending assets could shift the market from a purely trading focus to a more diversified financial utility.
