Privy Expands Support for TRON with Enhanced Wallet and Payment Infrastructure for Developers

TRON DAO, the community-governed DAO dedicated to accelerating the decentralization of the internet through blockchain technology and decentralized applications (dApps), announced today that Privy is expanding its support for the TRON blockchain, giving developers and businesses more tools to build and operate financial applications at scale on the network.

TRON DAO announced that Privy is extending its integration with the TRON blockchain, providing developers and businesses with additional tools for building and operating financial applications at scale.

New developer capabilities

Privy’s expanded features allow developers to programmatically construct, sign, and broadcast TRON transactions, monitor wallet activity and on‑chain events via balance and transaction webhooks, and apply policy controls such as spending limits, recipient allowlists, and approval rules. Transfer APIs enable supported assets on TRON to be moved programmatically.

Use cases and ecosystem impact

The infrastructure is positioned to support stablecoin payment solutions, treasury workflows, wallets, and other on‑chain financial products. Companies such as Onafriq and Paystack are already building wallet and treasury use cases with Privy on TRON.

TRON’s stablecoin role

TRON hosts the largest circulating supply of USD Tether (USDT), exceeding $94 billion, and its total stablecoin transfer volume is approaching $30 trillion. The network records over 405 million user accounts, more than 15 billion transactions, and over $29 billion in total value locked.

Statements from leadership

Justin Sun, Founder of TRON, highlighted TRON’s importance for global stablecoin activity and the goal of simplifying developer onboarding. Henri Stern, CEO and co‑founder of Privy, noted growing demand for stablecoin infrastructure and the benefit of deeper support for TRON.
