Reform UK Drops Crypto Sponsors: What Does Farage Want Instead?

Reform UK has removed crypto firms from the sponsor list for its upcoming annual conference in Birmingham.

Change in Sponsorship

Last year the digital payments firm Zebec was listed as a key backer. This year no crypto company appears on the sponsor list, and perks such as free tickets and access to senior figures have also been removed, according to Bloomberg.

Focus on Diplomatic and Industrial Guests

The party is emphasizing diplomatic presence, with envoys from India, Italy, Poland, the UAE, the United States and French National Rally leader Jordan Bardella expected to attend. Honorary treasurer Nick Candy said the scale of the diplomatic attendance shows how seriously Reform is being taken internationally.

Renewable‑energy executives are reported to be hesitant to appear, fearing they might legitimize the party.

No Policy Shift on Digital Assets

Despite the sponsorship changes, Reform UK has not announced any alterations to its stance on digital assets. The retreat appears aimed at image management while a parliamentary probe examines a £5 million donation from crypto investor Christopher Harborne.

UK Police Crypto Seizure

Avon and Somerset Police recovered 20.21 BTC, valued at about £1.03 million, along with other crypto and cash linked to darknet marketplaces operating between 2016 and 2019. The seizure is the largest crypto recovery since the introduction of wallet‑freezing orders in April 2024, though larger hauls have occurred previously.
