Revolut launches euro‑pegged stablecoin EURR in Denmark, Poland and Portugal
The Bridge‑issued EURR token will support multiple blockchains and external wallets, with wider EEA availability expected this year.

Revolut has begun rolling out its first euro‑pegged stablecoin, EURR, to customers in Denmark, Poland and Portugal. The phased launch will expand to additional European Economic Area (EEA) markets later in 2026, pending product, operational and regulatory readiness.
Issuer and regulatory framework
EURR is issued by Bridge Building S.A., the Luxembourg entity of Stripe‑owned stablecoin infrastructure provider Bridge. The token complies with the EU Markets in Crypto‑Assets (MiCA) regulation and is backed by reserves managed by Bridge.
Technical integration
Initially, EURR will be issued on the Ethereum blockchain. Revolut plans to add support for other blockchains and to enable transfers to external wallets, with broader availability as liquidity grows. The token will be integrated into Revolut’s retail app, applying the platform’s standard crypto trading and remittance limits. Fiat transactions involving EURR will incur no fees or spreads.
Strategic context
The launch follows Revolut’s decision to withdraw Tether’s USDT from the EEA and Switzerland, converting remaining USDT balances to customers’ base currencies after August 31. EURR represents the first step in Revolut’s broader stablecoin strategy, which includes developing tokens denominated in other currencies through separate regulatory pathways.
