Robinhood routes football contracts to Crypto.com exchange and takes equity stakes in Crypto.com and OG.com

Robinhood began sending a selection of football event contracts to Crypto.com's CFTC‑regulated exchange on Tuesday and will hold stakes in both Crypto.com and OG.com, the prediction‑market venue being spun out of it at a $5 billion valuation.

Robinhood Markets announced that it will start routing a selection of college and professional football event contracts to the CFTC‑regulated exchange and clearinghouse operated by Crypto.com. In addition, Robinhood disclosed equity stakes in Crypto.com and in OG.com, the prediction‑market platform that Crypto.com is spinning off as a standalone company.

Equity stakes and valuation

The equity stakes will be priced in line with the $400 million investment made by Citadel Securities in Crypto.com in July, which valued Crypto.com at $20 billion. The size of Robinhood’s stakes and the exact purchase price were not disclosed. OG.com is being valued at $5 billion as a separate entity carved out of the larger Crypto.com valuation.

Routing destinations

Robinhood already routes contracts to Rothera, a CFTC‑licensed exchange and clearinghouse it operates with Susquehanna International Group. It also sends contracts to Kalshi and ForecastEX on an arm’s‑length basis. OG.com becomes the second venue on Robinhood’s routing table in which the broker holds an equity interest.

OG.com and Nadex

OG.com’s event markets run through the North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. (Nadex), a designated contract market registered with the CFTC. Crypto.com acquired Nadex from IG Group in December 2021. The exchange trades under two brands: “Crypto.com | Derivatives North America” within the Crypto.com app and “OG.com” on the trader‑facing platform.

Phased rollout of football contracts

The rollout begins with eligible U.S. customers on Tuesday. College and pro football contracts will be split among OG.com, Kalshi and Rothera based on each venue’s listings. Robinhood will add contracts on game outcomes, player contracts and custom combinations, with a filtered trading hub. Player statistics and standings data are slated for later this fall.

Midterm election contracts

Contracts related to the upcoming midterm elections will remain with Kalshi and Rothera for now, with potential expansion to Crypto.com and OG.com in the coming weeks. Robinhood plans to enhance its election hub with interactive state and federal heat maps and near‑real‑time vote counts after polls close.

Volume and revenue growth

  • More than 45 billion event contracts have been traded since the product launched roughly two years ago.
  • Over 30 billion contracts were traded in 2026 through the end of August.
  • Second‑quarter 2026 saw 13.6 billion contracts, generating $156 million in revenue, more than ten times the prior year’s figure.
  • Over 5 billion contracts were traded during the World Cup.

Market reaction

The CRO token tied to Crypto.com rose about 4 % to $0.0604, with a market cap of $2.93 billion. Robinhood’s share price was $123.32, up roughly 1 %.
