Charles Schwab Expands Retail Crypto Offering with Solana, Avalanche, and Chainlink
Schwab Crypto will add Solana, Avalanche and Chainlink to its retail platform, increasing the direct‑trading menu to five tokens after its May rollout of Bitcoin and Ether.

Charles Schwab announced that its Schwab Crypto retail platform will soon include three additional assets: Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX) and Chainlink (LINK). The expansion follows the platform’s initial launch in May, which offered only Bitcoin and Ether.
Retail Platform Details
Schwab Crypto is provided through Charles Schwab Premier Bank. Clients receive a dedicated crypto account that links to their existing Schwab brokerage account. Paxos handles sub‑custody and trade execution, and each trade incurs a fee of 0.75% of the transaction value.
The service is available in all U.S. states except New York and Louisiana, and it is not offered in U.S. territories or international jurisdictions. Eligibility varies by client.
Future Advisor Channel
Schwab plans a separate advisor‑channel crypto service aimed at registered investment advisers, with a target launch around mid‑2027. This channel will eventually support spot trading, transfers and custody, but the specific assets for that offering have not been disclosed.
Potential Changes
Schwab noted that launch dates for the new tokens are not fixed and that support could be delayed, altered, or withdrawn based on market, regulatory, operational, or risk considerations.
