Solana hits record daily issuance of 263,000 SPL tokens

Solana set a new benchmark on Wednesday, with more than 263,000 SPL tokens minted in a single day, surpassing the previous peak observed during the late‑2024 memecoin surge.

Record‑breaking token issuance

Data from Solscan shows the blockchain issued over 263,000 new tokens, eclipsing the 40,000‑50,000 daily tokens recorded at the height of the memecoin cycle in December 2024.

Launchpad contribution

Out of 40,360 tokens created via launchpads, the memecoin platform Pump.fun was responsible for the majority, issuing 34,184 tokens, according to Blockworks’ dashboard.

Pump.fun’s market role

Pump.fun remains the leading Solana‑native protocol by daily revenue, generating $1.8 million in the past 24 hours per DefiLlama. The platform contributed roughly one‑third of Solana’s first‑quarter 2026 revenue, amounting to $124 million of the total $342 million.
