Eugene Investment & BEATOZ Begin Stablecoin Pilot for Tokenized Securities Settlement
South Korean broker Eugene Investment & Securities and blockchain firm BEATOZ have signed an MOU to test stablecoin‑based settlement of tokenized securities subscriptions, aiming to move the entire subscription‑payment‑settlement flow onto a single blockchain system.

South Korea’s Eugene Investment & Securities has partnered with blockchain company BEATOZ to explore the use of stablecoins for settling tokenized securities subscriptions. The collaboration, formalised in a memorandum of understanding on September 21, will run a proof‑of‑concept (PoC) that attempts to integrate subscription, payment and settlement into one on‑chain process.
Goal of the Pilot
The PoC will test whether stablecoins can replace traditional bank transfers for the payment leg of tokenized securities transactions. If successful, the entire workflow – from investor subscription to final settlement – could be executed on a blockchain, streamlining operations and reducing reliance on legacy banking infrastructure.
Roles and Contributions
- Eugene Investment & Securities will provide its tokenized securities platform, built in 2024, and its expertise in securities operations.
- BEATOZ will supply its hybrid blockchain technology and assist in designing the on‑chain settlement architecture.
Context Within South Korea’s Tokenization Roadmap
South Korea is preparing a regulated framework for tokenized securities that is slated to take effect in February 2027. The plan unfolds in three stages, beginning with the tokenization of privately pooled money‑market funds, institutional bonds, unlisted stocks and fractional securities. Later phases will expand tokenization to publicly offered securities and eventually introduce on‑chain payment infrastructure linked to stablecoins.
Industry Momentum
Other Korean financial firms are also conducting related trials. Samsung SDS is building the Korea Securities Depository’s tokenized‑securities platform, while Hanwha Investment & Securities has launched a platform on Avalanche and Hyperledger Besu. Several banks are testing deposit tokens for government payments and asset settlement, and Shinhan Asset Management is piloting a won‑denominated tokenized fund offshore.
Next Steps
Eugene and BEATOZ have not announced a timeline for completing the PoC. The outcome will determine whether stablecoins can be integrated into broader securities‑operations infrastructure and guide any subsequent cooperation.
