Leaker Cashes Out CYBERLEEK Tokens Hours Before GTA VI Trailer Release

A leak of Grand Theft Auto VI footage was followed by a rapid cash‑out of the CYBERLEEK token on Solana, moving roughly $268,000 to exchanges and wallets just before Netflix streamed the official trailer.

Netflix streamed the 26‑minute "Extended Look" trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI on August 27, prompting a global surge of fan activity. The release came just hours after an anonymous leaker, known as CyberLeek, withdrew a large amount of the CYBERLEEK token that had been used to promote the illicit clips.

Leak‑related token activity

CyberLeek had posted 15 watermarked video clips that referenced a Solana‑based token called CYBERLEEK, encouraging viewers to purchase the token to increase its market cap. In the hours leading up to the Netflix premiere, on‑chain analysts traced about $268,000 moving out of the token’s transaction‑fee pool. The funds were split into four transactions and sent to wallets that later transferred the assets to three destinations: the KuCoin exchange, the CCE.Cash platform, and several still‑inactive wallets.

Token price impact

Following the withdrawals, CYBERLEEK’s price fell sharply, dropping 54 % in 24 hours to $0.004595. Its market cap contracted to roughly $3.33 million, representing an 86.8 % decline from its all‑time high of $0.03436 reached on August 23. Earlier, the leaker had burned 270 million unsold tokens, a move analysts say was intended to build credibility before the final cash‑out.

Industry response

Rockstar Games expressed disappointment over the leaks and urged fans to wait for the official launch. Take‑Two Interactive has reportedly issued subpoenas to Discord, Microsoft and X in an effort to identify the individual behind the CyberLeek persona.

Broader context

The GTA VI trailer attracted massive viewership, with the second trailer released in May 2025 achieving 475 million views across platforms in its first 24 hours. Analysts project the game could generate $3.3 billion to $5.2 billion in global sales during its launch week, contributing to Take‑Two’s fiscal‑2027 bookings outlook of $8 billion to $8.2 billion.
