Tokenized Stock Transfer Volume Surges 415% to $29.5 B in One Month

Tokenized stock activity accelerated dramatically over the last month, according to data from RWA.xyz. Monthly transfer volume rose more than 415% to $29.5 billion, while active addresses increased over 209% to roughly 1.3 million.

Growth in Holders and Distributed Value

The number of tokenized‑stock holders climbed 167% to 2.36 million. The total on‑chain value of tokenized stocks grew 1.45% to $2.54 billion, a 637% increase from $344 million a year earlier.

Top Tokens and Platforms

Among individual tokens, Securitize Corp. led with about $163 million in distributed value, followed by Strategy PP Variable xStock at $136 million and an Ondo‑tokenized version of Circle Internet Group at $109 million.

By platform, Ondo accounted for $842.8 million, Kraken’s xStocks for $609.3 million, and Binance’s bStocks for $599.9 million, together representing roughly 81% of the market.

Platform Expansions Fuel Activity

New product launches are expanding use cases for tokenized equities. On Aug. 24, Coinbase’s tokenized US stocks launched on Base, offering eligible non‑US users 24/7 trading and DeFi integration. The B20 token list includes Nvidia, Apple, Meta and Alphabet, all held in self‑custody wallets.

The next day, Bitwise introduced automated portfolios built from Coinbase’s tokenized stocks, targeting the “Magnificent Seven,” robotics and AI sectors.

Other platforms added functionality: Bybit accepted tokenized shares of Nvidia, Apple, Tesla and other US companies as collateral for margin loans, while Arcus on Robinhood Chain launched over 95 stock tokens and perpetual markets.

Implications

The surge reflects growing investor interest in on‑chain equity exposure and the expanding infrastructure that supports trading, custody and collateral use across multiple crypto platforms.
