BitMine Immersion Technologies Purchases $81 Million of Ethereum as Price Tops $2,500

BitMine Immersion Technologies, chaired by Tom Lee, bought 32,447 ETH for $81 million, bringing its holdings to about 4.8% of the total Ethereum supply amid a 30% weekly price surge.

Ethereum surged above $2,500 this week, marking its strongest weekly gain since May 2025. In response, BitMine Immersion Technologies, the firm chaired by Tom Lee, made its largest weekly Ethereum purchase since early July.

Largest Weekly Purchase

BitMine acquired 32,447 ETH for roughly $81 million. The acquisition raises the company’s total Ethereum holdings to 5,847,611 ETH, valued at about $14.6 billion at current prices.

Overall Treasury Position

Including 210 BTC, stakes in Beast Industries and Eightco Holdings, and $308 million in cash and marketable securities, BitMine reports a combined treasury of $14.9 billion, up from $11.4 billion the week before.

Staking Strategy

Approximately 5,067,309 ETH (about 87% of BitMine’s holdings) is staked through its Made‑in‑America Validator Network. The firm projects the staking operation could generate around $330 million in annualized revenue, subject to network conditions and validator performance.

Market Context and Outlook

Ethereum’s price rose roughly 30% over the past week, outpacing Bitcoin’s 22% gain in the same period. Tom Lee highlighted several tailwinds—Wall Street tokenization, AI applications on blockchain, supportive policy signals, and easing financial conditions—as reasons the rally may be structurally significant.

BitMine’s continued buying during a price rally, rather than at lows, suggests institutional conviction in Ethereum’s long‑term prospects.
