Tom Lee Predicts Bullish Year as Wall Street Deepens Crypto Involvement

Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee said he expects a strongly bullish twelve‑month period for crypto, citing a shift in Wall Street’s attitude toward blockchain, tokenized securities and stablecoins.

Wall Street’s New Stance on Blockchain

Lee highlighted recent public comments from Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev and BlackRock CEO Larry Fink that signal a move to place financial assets on blockchain infrastructure. He noted that, for the first time in the past fifteen years, the broader financial system is treating blockchain as a functional tool rather than a speculative side‑track.

Ethereum Position and Tokenization

Bitmine’s balance sheet shows an acquisition of 27,180 ETH in the past week, bringing its total holdings to about 5.96 million ETH – roughly 4.9 % of the total 122 million ETH supply and close to its target of 5 % ownership. Lee argues that tokenization and stablecoins could expand crypto demand beyond pure trading, linking blockchain networks to traditional capital markets, with Ethereum positioned to benefit.

Returning Leverage and Cycle Bottom

Lee said that much of the leverage that drove last year’s crypto liquidations has been cleared, leaving a cleaner market foundation. He also believes the traditional four‑year crypto cycle is nearing its bottom, and strong performance of crypto‑linked equities could attract more institutional capital.

Regulatory Uncertainty

The outlook referenced the CLARITY Act, which faced a procedural setback when the U.S. Senate rejected cloture on September 15, falling short of the required votes. Lee acknowledged that this adds uncertainty to any twelve‑month forecast.
