Upbit Issues Trading Warning on SOPH; Binance to Delist Seven USDC Pairs on Sept. 25
Upbit placed Sophon (SOPH) under a trading caution and halted deposits, while Binance announced the removal of seven USDC spot pairs on Sept. 25 due to low liquidity and volume.

South Korean exchange Upbit has flagged Sophon (SOPH) as a trading‑caution asset and suspended deposits across its KRW, BTC and USDT markets. The warning, issued at 15:00 KST on Sept. 22, will remain in effect until the second week of October (Oct. 12‑16). Upbit cited deficiencies in disclosure, changes to the token’s circulation plan and the procedures governing those changes, describing a “potential for user harm.” Deposits made after the cutoff will not be credited and will be returned once the deposit service resumes.
Upbit’s Review Process
During the review window Upbit will assess whether the identified concerns have been addressed. Possible outcomes include lifting the warning, extending the review period, or terminating trading support for SOPH. A final delisting decision could follow if the issues remain unresolved.
Other South Korean Exchanges Also Scrutinize SOPH
Bithumb has placed SOPH on its own warning list for similar reasons related to disclosures and circulation‑plan changes. Both exchanges operate independent trading‑support policies.
Binance Removes Seven USDC Spot Pairs
Binance announced that trading for the following USDC pairs will cease at 03:00 UTC on Sept. 25: AIXBT/USDC, DOLO/USDC, ENJ/USDC, HUMA/USDC, SXT/USDC, TNSR/USDC and TURTLE/USDC. The exchange cited “poor liquidity and trading volume” as the rationale. Underlying tokens will remain tradable on Binance through other supported pairs, and USDC will continue to be supported as a quote asset.
Four of the listed pairs (AIXBT/USDC, SXT/USDC, TNSR/USDC, TURTLE/USDC) were already removed from Binance margin trading on Sept. 3. Binance advised users to disable any spot‑trading bots linked to the affected markets before the cutoff.
Impact on Users
Upbit users can still trade SOPH in existing spot markets but cannot deposit the token until the review concludes. Binance users will lose the ability to trade the seven specific USDC pairs after Sept. 25, though they can continue to trade the base tokens via other markets.
