Ripple's XRP Branding Secures Multiyear Deal for Florida Field

Florida Athletics announced a multiyear partnership with Ripple that will display the XRP logo on the midfield of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, known as Florida Field, starting with the 2026 football season.

Deal Overview

The agreement covers field advertising, digital property placements, and event signage. An Associated Press report cited the deal’s value at $5 million per year, though the parties did not disclose the financial terms.

NCAA Rule Change Enables Field Ads

Since a 2024 NCAA rule change allowing a single midfield advertisement and up to two smaller ads elsewhere, schools have begun monetizing field space. Florida previously sold two home games in 2025 to Geico for $1 million each. The Ripple deal represents a longer‑term commitment as the university advances a $1.45 billion stadium renovation slated for completion before the 2030 season.

Education Component

Ripple will support finance and technology education for student‑athletes and the broader campus community. The company has previously pledged $25 million to U.S. education programs, funding projects such as DonorsChoose initiatives and blockchain training in high schools.

Broader College Sports Strategy

The Florida partnership follows Ripple’s multiyear agreement with the University of Kansas, which placed XRP branding on Jayhawk uniforms. Both deals aim to increase cryptocurrency visibility in collegiate athletics while integrating educational outreach.

Ripple’s Ongoing Academic Initiatives

Beyond sponsorships, Ripple runs accelerator programs with universities, including a collaboration with the University of California, Berkeley that supported nine startups building applications on the XRP Ledger.
