Binance Wallet and PancakeSwap Launch Pre‑Access Token Campaigns for Private Companies
Binance Wallet and PancakeSwap are rolling out Pre‑Access campaigns that sell tokenized exposure to private firms before they go public, extending Binance’s push into traditional assets.
Binance Wallet and PancakeSwap have announced the start of Pre‑Access campaigns that will allow users to purchase tokenized exposure to private companies prior to their initial public offerings (IPOs). The first campaign’s target company has not yet been disclosed.
Expansion into Traditional Assets
Over the past year Binance has broadened its product suite beyond crypto, adding stock trading, tokenized equities (bStocks), and pre‑IPO derivatives. In May the exchange listed perpetual futures tied to private firms, beginning with a contract linked to SpaceX (SPCXUSDT), which later completed its Nasdaq listing. US equities trading launched on June 1, followed by bStocks on June 12.
How Allocations Are Determined
Pre‑Access allocations are based on three factors:
- Higher Alpha Points increase the allocation size.
- A higher on‑chain bStocks tier also boosts allocation.
- Holders of the Trencher Badge receive an additional allocation.
PancakeSwap sets the final campaign rules, according to Binance’s disclosure.
The Catch
Token holders will not receive voting rights, dividends, or any shareholder privileges. Binance warns that these tokens carry a high degree of risk, with uncertain valuations, liquidity, and settlement outcomes.
Market Context
Demand for on‑chain versions of stocks and private shares is growing. Tokenized stockholders reached 3.7 million on September 19, an 86 % increase over the prior 30 days, and the total distributed value surpassed $3 billion, according to RWA.xyz.
