The Open Platfrom, the major VC & Venture builder in TON Blockchain, has announced the upcoming repositioning of its custodial and self-custodial projects: Wallet and TON Space will now be harmonized into a single interface, in a bid to make the TON ecosystem more accessible to developers and users.
As a result of the upcoming update, TON Space will become an equal counterpart to the standard custodial solution provided by Wallet and exit its beta. Users will be presented with both the self-custody and the custodial options as equivalents, giving them smooth onboarding into self-custody and navigation between the two products.
Following this, TON Space will also be taking steps to democratise access to its user base by introducing more integrations with the wider TON ecosystem. These integrations will include a dApps catalogue, DEX and staking aggregation solutions, as well as a mechanism for NFT and Jetton giveaways. This widening of choice will ensure that TON Space users have access to the best rates for any and all transactions.
TON Space has already achieved impressive growth, with more than 100 million Telegram users enabling the self-custodial wallet. Many of these users are new to crypto, and, to simplify their experience, TON Space will support Telegram Stars as a payment method for gas. Users will further benefit from upcoming Earn campaigns as well as other DeFi incentives.
With over 10% of Telegram’s 950-million-strong user base already activated for Web3 and TON Space becoming more and more prominent, this update is set to massively improve ecosystem developers’ conversion rate. Furthermore, the upcoming major updates will enhance discoverability for new ecosystem projects, accelerating the growth of the TON-based Web3 ecosystem in Telegram even further.
