This transaction brings Metaplanet’s complete holdings to 11,111 Bitcoin, acquired at a cumulative price of ¥156.4 billion ($1.07 billion), with a mean price foundation of ¥14.1 million ($95,869) per coin.
The acquisition occurred shortly after Bitcoin’s worth recovered from weekend lows of round $98,000, amid geopolitical developments within the Center East.
Metaplanet has continued to broaden its Bitcoin place in periods of market volatility, with financing primarily sourced from capital market actions, together with zero-coupon bond issuances.
The corporate’s reported Bitcoin-to-equity yield—a metric evaluating Bitcoin holdings to totally diluted shares—was 107.9% within the second quarter of 2025, following 95.6% within the first quarter and 309.8% within the fourth quarter of 2024.
Metaplanet acknowledged that it intends to amass as much as 210,000 Bitcoin by 2027. In 2024, it formally integrated Bitcoin Treasury Operations into its core enterprise mannequin.
