Largest single stash

The biggest of the four wallets held 1,260.78 BTC, valued at about $100.63 million. The coins had not moved since July 2016, more than a decade after they were first acquired.

Historic percentage gains

• A wallet dormant since March 2011 contained 10.25 BTC (≈$792,000) and showed a gain of over 8.38 million percent based on an estimated cost of $1 per coin.
• Another address, untouched since November 2011, held 100 BTC (≈$8.09 million) with a gain of roughly 2.49 million percent.

Recent 600 BTC transfer

Early on Tuesday, a wallet that had been idle since July 2012 moved 600 BTC, worth about $51.9 million. This represents a gain of more than 1 million percent from its original cost basis.

Legal context

Three of the four wallets carried a "Noah Doe" sender tag, referencing a New York lawsuit that seeks to declare thousands of dormant Bitcoin addresses abandoned property. The case has seen regular activity since a judge paused the proceedings in June.
