US Spot Bitcoin ETFs Record $167M Net Outflows After Three-Week Inflow Surge

US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $120.2 million withdrawn on Wednesday, bringing two‑day outflows to $166.8 million, while Ether and Solana ETFs returned to net inflows.

US spot Bitcoin exchange‑traded funds (ETFs) experienced significant withdrawals on Wednesday, marking a reversal after a three‑week period of strong inflows earlier in 2026.

Bitcoin ETF outflows

Data from Farside Investors show that Bitcoin ETFs recorded a net outflow of $120.2 million on Wednesday, raising the total outflows for the first two sessions of the holiday‑shortened week to $166.8 million. The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) led the redemptions with $78 million, followed by Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust ETF (GBTC) with $27.2 million and BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) with $19.5 million. Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin Trust (MSBT) was the only fund with net inflows, adding $4.5 million.

The Wednesday outflows followed Tuesday’s $46.6 million net outflow, marking the first back‑to‑back outflow days since a three‑day run ended on August 14. Across the two days, GBTC lost $92.7 million, ARKB saw $69.9 million redeemed, and IBIT recorded $8.8 million in redemptions. The two‑day pullback erased roughly 4.4 % of the $3.8 billion attracted during the funds’ strongest three‑week stretch of the year.

Overall ETF flow context

Since their launch, Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated about $55 billion in net inflows. In 2026, the combined net flow for the category is a net outflow of approximately $1.07 billion.

Ether and Solana ETFs rebound

US spot Ether ETFs reversed Tuesday’s outflows, posting $34.7 million of net inflows on Wednesday and ending the week with $10.4 million of net inflows. BlackRock’s ETHB contributed $22.9 million, while its ETHA added $9.7 million. The 21Shares TETH fund added $2.1 million.

Spot Solana ETFs also turned positive, attracting $11.2 million on Wednesday after a $700,000 outflow on Tuesday, resulting in a two‑session net inflow of $10.5 million. All Wednesday Solana inflows went to Bitwise’s BSOL.

Market backdrop

Bitcoin traded near $78,000 on Thursday, down from about $79,700 when the three‑week inflow figures were reported. Ether was priced around $2,470, and Solana hovered near $101, according to CoinGecko.
