Bitcoin mining supplies 90% of HIVE’s $1 million daily revenue despite AI expansion

HIVE Digital Technologies reported that its combined Bitcoin‑mining and GPU‑cloud operations generated just over $1 million in average daily revenue between August 21 and September 10.

Revenue breakdown

During the period, GPU‑cloud services contributed roughly $100,000 per day, representing less than 10 % of total daily revenue. Bitcoin mining accounted for the remaining nine‑tenths, making it the primary financial engine.

Mining output

HIVE mined an average of about 12 Bitcoin per day, which is approximately 2 % of the global Bitcoin network’s daily production. The dollar value of this output is tied to Bitcoin’s market price, network difficulty and operating conditions.

AI‑cloud pipeline

The company has closed more than $600 million in total contract value for its GPU‑cloud business year‑to‑date, including a $350 million AI‑cloud agreement and a $185 million GPU build‑out. These contracts are not yet recognized as revenue and do not guarantee future cash flow.

Future outlook

HIVE is evaluating the repurposing of mining facilities for high‑performance computing, but the transition remains uncertain. The current figures show a “two‑speed” shift: AI‑cloud services are now revenue‑producing, yet Bitcoin mining continues to provide the bulk of cash flow.
