Bitwise XRP ETF Surpasses $500 Million in Assets Nine Months After Launch

Bitwise Asset Management announced that its XRP exchange‑traded fund (ETF) has crossed the $500 million mark in assets under management (AUM) just nine months after debuting on NYSE Arca. The fund now holds approximately 364.8 million XRP, providing investors with indirect exposure to the cryptocurrency without the need for direct custody.

Growth Since Inception

Since then, holdings have increased by nearly 78 million XRP, driven primarily by share creations that brought new capital into the trust.

Trading Activity

Trading volume surged in the days leading up to the AUM milestone, with more than $200 million exchanged across three consecutive sessions ending Aug. 24, 2026. Daily turnover peaked at over $80 million.

Fee Structure and Custody

The fund charges a 0.34% management fee. During its first month, a temporary waiver covered the first $500 million in assets. Bank of New York Mellon acts as administrator and cash custodian, while Coinbase Custody Trust Co. holds the underlying XRP.

Market Context

By March 2026, the U.S. market contained more than $1.1 billion across seven XRP‑focused ETFs, positioning Bitwise as a leading provider of indirect XRP exposure through traditional brokerage accounts.
