Bybit launches fixed‑return BTC and ETH contracts with Bybit Odds

Bybit has launched Bybit Odds, a fixed‑return crypto price contract product that lets users take views on Bitcoin and Ether without leverage or liquidation risk.

Bybit introduced a new product called Bybit Odds that allows traders to place fixed‑return bets on the price movement of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH). The contracts are settled in USDT, require no leverage, and protect users from liquidation or margin calls.

How Bybit Odds works

Traders allocate a defined amount of USDT—starting at 5 USDT—to a price view. The allocated amount represents the maximum possible loss, and the platform displays the potential return before the order is confirmed.

Contract formats

  • Up/Down: Predict whether the price will finish above or below the current level at expiry.
  • Price Target: Predict whether the price will be above or below a preset target when the contract expires.
  • Price Range: Predict whether the price will stay inside or move outside a specified range by expiry.

Trading periods

Contracts can run from as short as five minutes up to seven days, with options for 5‑minute, 15‑minute, and longer intervals.

Access and liquidity

The product is available through Bybit’s Unified Trading Account on both web and mobile applications. Existing USDT balances in the account can be used to fund positions, while institutional market makers provide liquidity and pricing.

Context within Bybit’s product expansion

Bybit Odds follows recent launches of other contract types, including FX perpetual contracts (EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY) and synthetic perpetuals linked to companies such as Unitree Robotics, Moonshot AI, and SpaceX. Unlike those leveraged products, Bybit Odds does not use leverage.

Industry trend

The launch reflects a broader move by crypto exchanges toward event‑ and odds‑based products. Prediction‑market platforms reported record combined trading volume of over $50 billion in July, highlighting growing interest in non‑traditional contract formats.
