Chainlink Data Feeds Go Live on Tempo Blockchain

On September 3, Chainlink Data Feeds were activated on Tempo, the layer‑1 blockchain focused on stablecoin payments. The integration delivers verified market prices directly to smart contracts, enabling a range of financial use cases.

How the integration works

Independent Chainlink node operators aggregate data from multiple sources, create signed reports, and publish them on‑chain. Tempo supplies the execution and settlement layer, while developers decide how to apply the incoming price information within their applications.

• Collateral valuation for lending platforms, allowing automatic calculation of borrowing limits and liquidation thresholds.
• Foreign‑exchange rate checks for businesses before approving stablecoin conversions.

Tempo’s broader ecosystem

Tempo, incubated by Stripe and Paradigm, launched its mainnet in March 2026 and targets use cases such as business payments, payroll, remittances, and machine‑generated transactions. Earlier in the year, the network added Morpho’s lending infrastructure, expanding its capabilities beyond basic payments.

Market reaction

Following the announcement, Chainlink’s native token (LINK) traded around $11.84, up roughly 5.6% in the session. No confirmed link between the price movement and the Tempo integration was provided.
