Circle Unveils Arc Studio AI Agent for Rapid On‑Chain App Development

Circle announced Arc Studio, an artificial‑intelligence coding assistant that can generate complete on‑chain applications from plain‑language descriptions. The tool builds front‑end interfaces, back‑end logic and Solidity contracts, then lets developers test the output on nine supported blockchains before exporting the code to their own repositories.

How Arc Studio Works

Users describe the desired functionality—such as a USDC payment flow, a wallet, a swap or a bridge—and the agent assembles the necessary components, including wallet integration, gas handling, protocol connections and testnet deployment. The generated code can be reviewed, modified and deployed with the developer’s own credentials.

Supported Networks and Protocols

Arc Studio can test applications on Arbitrum, Arc, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Monad, OP Mainnet, Polygon and Unichain. It writes Solidity contracts, performs initial reviews and can deploy them to Arc Testnet or eight other EVM testnets. The platform includes built‑in integrations with Aave, Morpho and Uniswap, enabling generated apps to leverage existing DeFi services without manual configuration.

Focus on USDC‑Centric Use Cases

The agent is tailored for scenarios that move USDC, including cross‑border payouts, SaaS billing, stablecoin‑based digital‑goods purchases and programmable payments for autonomous agents. Circle’s Cross‑Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) and Quote API are incorporated, allowing applications to quote and collect cross‑chain USDC fees while preserving the recipient amount.

Developer Access and Limitations

Arc Studio is reachable via a web interface or as a sub‑agent for coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. While the tool automates many development steps, Circle warns that AI‑generated code may contain errors or security weaknesses and must be independently audited. The agent does not sign, fund or submit mainnet transactions on behalf of users.

Arc Ecosystem Context

Arc Studio launches shortly after Circle’s Arc blockchain entered public mainnet, a Layer‑1 network that uses USDC for gas fees and supports EVM applications. The Arc ecosystem includes App Kits, Portal, Agent Stack and Agent Wallets, all aimed at simplifying stablecoin‑based financial services for developers and institutions.
