RockawayX Allocates $150 Million to Tokenize Real‑World Yield Assets

Digital‑asset investment firm RockawayX launches the $150 million Catapult program to fund, structure and provide liquidity for tokenized credit products such as private credit, trade finance and real‑estate‑linked securities.

RockawayX, a digital‑asset investment firm managing roughly $2 billion, announced a $150 million initiative called Catapult aimed at bringing private credit and other yield‑generating real‑world assets onchain.

Program scope and services

Catapult will supply venture funding, product structuring, liquidity provision, market making and distribution for tokenized credit products. Targeted asset classes include trade and supply‑chain finance, specialty asset‑backed securities, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and real‑estate‑related credit.

Market outlook

Tokenized real‑world assets currently total about $38 billion, according to RWA.xyz. RockawayX projects the market could expand to $10 trillion‑$20 trillion by 2030, far exceeding other industry forecasts.

Strategic rationale

CEO Viktor Fischer said the firm believes yield will become the largest on‑chain use case after trading, emphasizing the need for “new sources of yield, 12 % plus, uncorrelated to crypto.” He noted that tokenizing less‑liquid assets allows market makers to create exit mechanisms even when underlying investments have long redemption periods.

Operational capabilities

RockawayX already runs venture funds for early‑stage crypto projects, a market‑neutral fund that supplies liquidity to DeFi protocols, and a vault business with roughly $300 million deployed. The firm also acquired crypto hedge fund Relayer in August.

Talent focus

The initiative seeks traditional finance professionals experienced in originating and underwriting real‑world assets, pairing them with crypto‑native operators to structure and distribute tokenized products onchain.
