Armed Intruders Detain French Couple in Alès Home, Demand Crypto Payments

Two armed and masked men entered a residence in the southern French city of Alès, restrained a couple for more than two hours and demanded cryptocurrency transactions. The incident occurred early Saturday in a residential area on the heights of Alès, with the victims’ young child present in the house.

Details of the Home Invasion

The assailants arrived carrying a handgun and a knife, tied up both adults and threatened them while attempting to obtain digital assets. Neighbors heard the victims’ screams and called the Alès police, prompting the attackers to flee before officers arrived. The Organized and Specialized Crime Division (DCOS) in Nîmes has taken over the investigation; no arrests were reported at the time.
