Grayscale Positions XRP ETF Among Top Holdings in New Advisor Model Portfolios

Grayscale’s XRP Trust ETF secures a 26.11% allocation in its Bitcoin‑free Next Gen model and an 11.92% allocation in the broader Leaders model, making it one of the three largest positions in both strategies.

Grayscale has integrated its XRP exchange‑traded fund (ETF) as a core component of two newly launched crypto model portfolios aimed at financial advisors. The fund ranks among the three largest allocations in both the Leaders and Next Gen strategies.

Leaders Model: Third‑Largest Allocation

The Digital Assets Leaders Model Portfolio distributes its exposure across five single‑asset ETFs: ether (38.57%), bitcoin (37.25%), XRP (11.92%), solana (9.63%) and hyperliquid (2.63%). XRP’s share comes from the Grayscale XRP Trust ETF (GXRP). The model uses market‑cap weighting, quarterly rebalancing and caps any single asset at 40%.

Next Gen Model: Second‑Largest Allocation

The Bitcoin‑free Digital Assets Next Gen Model Portfolio assigns a 26.11% target weight to the XRP ETF, second only to ether (42.34%). The remaining allocation includes solana (21.09%), hyperliquid (5.76%), chainlink (2.66%), avalanche (1.08%) and sui (0.96%). Like the Leaders model, Next Gen is market‑cap weighted and rebalances quarterly, but it can hold up to ten eligible assets and excludes bitcoin.

Implications for Advisors

Grayscale’s launch provides advisors with a regulated channel to obtain XRP exposure without direct ownership of the cryptocurrency. The models are distributed through Grayscale Advisors to financial platforms, allowing advisors to apply the suggested allocations at their discretion.

Broader Context

Regulated XRP investment products have seen growing demand, and a recent 21Shares assessment highlighted regulatory clarity, institutional access, measurable utility and fixed supply as key factors influencing XRP’s investment case.
