City Protocol Secures $11 Million to Build On‑Chain Structured Products Infrastructure
City Protocol, an on‑chain structured products infrastructure provider, completed seed and Pre‑A rounds raising $11 million from investors including Dragonfly, Jump Crypto, CMT Digital, Stratified Capital, Adaverse and Mirana.
City Protocol announced the close of its seed and Pre‑A funding rounds, raising a total of $11 million. The capital will be used to expand its integrated infrastructure for issuing, operating and distributing structured products on blockchain networks.
Integrated infrastructure for on‑chain structured products
The platform breaks the traditional finance pipeline into three reusable modules:
- Tokenization – converts a strategy or asset class into a verifiable, distribution‑ready on‑chain product.
- Vault – pre‑audited contracts that manage capital flows, execution limits, accounting and exit mechanisms.
- Issuance & Operation – product templates that cover the full lifecycle from launch to maturity.
Security is enforced through role‑based permissions, multi‑signature actions, on‑chain fee visibility and immutable execution records.
Venzo: the flagship product
Venzo, built on City Protocol’s stack, currently hosts four strategy vaults with about $30 million in total value locked (TVL) on EVM‑compatible networks. It offers two vault types:
- Strategy Vaults – provide access to quantitative hedging, cross‑exchange arbitrage, private credit and on‑chain yield strategies. Users subscribe, and positions are accounted for by net asset value (NAV) with defined redemption windows.
- Thematic Portfolios – upcoming non‑custodial baskets that track investment themes (e.g., sector themes, people trackers). Assets remain in users’ wallets, and automation handles purchases and rebalancing according to published rules.
Venzo also runs a “Polis Points” reward program, granting points for holding eligible vault positions, with multipliers for vault type, position age, genesis and loyalty.
Funding and ecosystem backing
The $11 million round was led by a mix of crypto‑native funds and ecosystem players, including Dragonfly, Jump Crypto, CMT Digital, Stratified Capital, Adaverse and Mirana. City Protocol reports over 51,000 verified City ID users and more than 9,400 ecosystem NFT holders.
Vision for broader financial access
City Protocol aims to lower barriers for both asset managers and retail users by standardizing and modularizing complex investment strategies. By providing reusable infrastructure, the team envisions a “neofinance” model where any team with a strategy can issue a product and any user can access it through a simple app interface.
