OpenSea integrates live on‑chain market data with Perplexity Computer

OpenSea announced that its cross‑chain market data is now available to Perplexity Computer, an AI‑driven platform that can answer queries about on‑chain trading activity. The integration gives Perplexity access to live data from over 25 blockchains, covering fungible tokens, NFTs and other collectibles.

How the integration works

Perplexity Computer can pull information directly from OpenSea’s marketplace when users ask about heavily traded tokens, popular collectibles, or overall market signals. The AI agent cites the underlying OpenSea data in its responses, enabling multi‑step queries such as “which tokens had the most trading volume last week” or “what assets are attracting the most buyer interest.”

Scope of the data

The connector spans more than 25 blockchain networks, providing a single source for activity across multiple ecosystems. It includes both fungible token trades and NFT transactions, allowing users to query on‑chain activity without relying solely on price feeds.

Strategic context for OpenSea

OpenSea said the partnership is part of a broader effort to make its market data available to AI products beyond its own platform. Recent initiatives have expanded OpenSea beyond its original NFT‑only focus, including plans for perpetual futures trading using Hyperliquid infrastructure and the rollout of the OS2 upgrade that combines token and NFT trading across multiple networks.

Future outlook
