S&P Global leads $110M Series B round in Kaiko

S&P Global has led a strategic investment in Kaiko, extending the Paris‑based crypto market data provider’s Series B funding to $110 million. The capital will be used to broaden Kaiko’s data infrastructure for tokenized financial markets and on‑chain financial services.

Key investors and their focus

The round also included BNP Paribas, Bpifrance, Broadridge, Canton Foundation, Coinbase Ventures, DRW Venture Capital, Nasdaq Ventures, Royal Bank of Canada, Stellar and Susquehanna Private Equity Investments. These investors will join a Kaiko‑led industry working group aimed at developing data and infrastructure for tokenized financial products.

Expansion of data services

Kaiko plans to use the funding to support its core digital‑asset market data business and to push into on‑chain financial infrastructure, including data services for tokenized Treasury bills, money‑market funds, equities and bonds.

Recent strategic moves

Earlier this year Kaiko acquired the MiCA‑regulated on‑chain infrastructure provider Cometh and the U.S. digital‑asset data provider Amberdata. In February, Kaiko partnered with Bloomberg to bring licensed financial data on‑chain.

Broader industry context

The funding arrives as major U.S. market operators and financial‑infrastructure firms increase their use of blockchain for trading, settlement and collateral management. Notable developments include ICE’s agreement with Securitize to develop tokenized‑securities standards, Nasdaq’s SEC‑approved pilot for tokenized stocks and ETFs, and DTCC’s production trades using tokenized assets ahead of a planned launch.
