Kaiko Secures $110 Million Funding Extension Led by S&P Global

The crypto data provider says the capital will expand infrastructure for 24/7 tokenized markets, four years after its $53 million Series B.

Kaiko announced that its Series B financing has been extended to a total of $110 million, with S&P Global leading the strategic investment. The new capital is intended to reinforce Kaiko’s market‑data business and to broaden its infrastructure for continuous, tokenized market operations.

New Investors and Existing Backers

Alongside S&P Global, a group of strategic investors participated, including BNP Paribas, Bpifrance, Broadridge, Canton Foundation, Coinbase Ventures, DRW Venture Capital, Nasdaq Ventures, Royal Bank of Canada, Stellar and Susquehanna Private Equity Investments. Existing shareholders Anthemis, Point Nine and Revaia also took part in the round.

Purpose of the Funding

The financing will be used to:

  • Strengthen Kaiko’s core digital‑asset market‑data offering.
  • Expand an infrastructure platform that delivers proprietary data to smart contracts.
  • Convert on‑chain financial activity into standardized off‑chain data.
  • Support confidential valuation and analytics services.

Scope of Kaiko’s Data Coverage

Kaiko reports coverage of more than 150 exchanges and protocols. It highlights tokenized Treasury bills, money‑market funds, equities and bonds as markets that will require data systems capable of operating beyond traditional trading hours.

Strategic Working Group

Participating institutions have joined a strategic industry working group, chaired by Kaiko, to focus on the data and infrastructure needed for the production of tokenized products.

Existing Relationship with S&P Global

The partnership builds on a prior product collaboration. On September 1, S&P Dow Jones Indices and Kaiko launched the S&P Kaiko Digital Asset Indices, combining crypto index offerings on a single platform. The suite debuted with over 4,000 rates and indices, with Kaiko handling data sourcing and calculation and S&P providing benchmark administration, licensing and distribution.

Background on Prior Funding

The $110 million total exceeds twice the amount raised in Kaiko’s original Series B in 2022, which was $53 million led by Eight Roads and supported by investors such as Revaia, Alven, Anthemis, Point Nine and Underscore.
