Solana DEX Trades Top NYSE With 208M Weekly Transactions

Solana decentralized exchanges processed about 208 million spot trades in the week ending Sept. 13, surpassing the NYSE’s roughly 190 million transactions for the first time.

Decentralized exchanges on the Solana blockchain processed roughly 208 million spot trades in the week ending September 13, overtaking the New York Stock Exchange’s (NYSE) estimated 190 million trades for the same period.

Solana Narrows Gap With Major Stock Exchanges

The weekly trade count also reduced the gap with Nasdaq to about 47 million trades, the smallest difference recorded to date. While a Solana DEX swap differs fundamentally from an equity trade in size, asset type and market structure, the raw transaction volume highlights rapid scaling of on‑chain trading activity.

Jupiter Drives the Surge

Jupiter, Solana’s largest trading aggregator, accounted for more than 80 million trades this month, a 38 % month‑over‑month increase. Overall, weekly Solana DEX trade activity rose 185 % from its July lows.

Data from Defillama, cited by Solana Sensei, estimates total Solana DEX volume at about $168 billion for Q3 2026, averaging roughly $2.5 billion per day.

Market Reaction

Crypto community members noted the milestone as evidence that on‑chain markets are reaching activity levels comparable to traditional financial venues, even though the economic value per transaction remains distinct.

SOL Price Context

The trade surge coincides with SOL reclaiming key long‑term technical levels, including its 50‑week moving average and exponential moving average. Historical patterns suggest that such technical recoveries have preceded significant price moves, though no specific forecast is made.
