Uniswap Labs Acquires PONS Token for Long-Term Alignment
Pons said Uniswap Labs purchased its token "for long-term alignment" four weeks after Uniswap Labs put a rival launchpad on Robinhood Chain. Neither company disclosed the size of the purchase, the price paid, or the wallet holding it.

Uniswap Labs has purchased PONS, the token of the memecoin launchpad operating on Robinhood Chain, according to an announcement from the launchpad on Thursday. The acquisition is described as a move for “long‑term alignment” and deepens the partnership between the two projects.
Details of the Purchase
Both Uniswap Labs and Pons did not disclose the number of tokens transferred, the purchase price, the timing of the transaction, or the wallet address holding the tokens. Pons also did not clarify whether the tokens were bought on the open market or allocated directly.
Rival Launchpad Activity
Uniswap Labs launched its own launchpad, Pools.trade, on Robinhood Chain on August 5, charging a 0.25% fee per trade and no fee to launch a token. By the end of August, Pools.trade was generating about $38,553 in daily fees, compared with $4.89 million in fees for Pons V2.
