South Africa’s Treasury and central financial institution are shifting in direction of regulating using cryptocurrency for cross-border transactions.
The Nationwide Treasury and the South African Reserve Financial institution (SARB) launched a draft rulebook on Monday that proposes that sending crypto offshore have to be carried out by a certified supplier and reported to the central financial institution’s Monetary Surveillance Division (FinSurv).
