U.S. bitcoin ETFs saw $159.45 million of net inflows on Thursday, driven by BlackRock’s IBIT, while the newly launched Zcash ETF added $46.56 million.

U.S. bitcoin exchange‑traded funds (ETFs) posted a net inflow of $159.45 million on Thursday, marking a reversal from recent outflows. The surge was led by BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), which alone attracted $183.66 million.
Bitcoin ETF rebound
BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for the majority of the day’s net gain. Fidelity’s FBTC recorded an outflow of $16.64 million and VanEck’s HODL lost $7.57 million. Daily trading volume for bitcoin ETFs reached $2.81 billion, and total net assets closed at $95.19 billion.
Ether and XRP funds under pressure
Ether ETFs continued to see withdrawals, with a net outflow of $39.24 million. BlackRock’s ETHA led the exits with $42.86 million out, while Fidelity’s FETH and VanEck’s ETHV posted modest inflows of $1.83 million and $1.79 million respectively. XRP ETFs also slipped, posting a net outflow of $5.15 million, led by 21Shares’ TOXR ($3.78 million) and Canary’s XRPC ($1.37 million).
Zcash ETF draws strong interest
The newly launched Zcash ETF (Grayscale ZCSH) recorded a net inflow of $46.56 million, its second‑largest daily inflow since inception. Grayscale announced a 3‑for‑1 forward stock split for ZCSH, with a record date of September 28 and the split effective September 30.
Market context
Bitcoin’s price rose by nearly 6 % to around $80,000 during the week, providing a backdrop for the renewed inflows. Analysts noted the potential for bitcoin ETFs to grow substantially as younger investors view bitcoin as a store of value.
