Hunter Biden confirmed on Monday that a new memecoin called LAPTOP will launch on September 9. He posted the ticker and launch date on his verified X account, accompanied by a short clip of a Fox News segment about his laptop. The post garnered over 250,000 views within an hour.

Planned launch on Base

The official token is slated to deploy on Coinbase’s Base network. The announced tokenomics include a total supply of 1 billion tokens, with 30 % allocated to the founding team (locked for six months and released over two years), 20 % reserved for airdrops, and another 20 % earmarked for liquidity, exchange listings and legal costs. Up to 30 % may be burned based on specific events, such as Bitcoin setting a new record or LAPTOP surpassing the market value of the TRUMP token.

Airdrop targeting TRUMP losses

The TRUMP memecoin, launched three days before former President Donald Trump’s second inauguration, now trades at $2.25, down 6.3 % over 24 hours and 5 % over the week. Its market capitalization stands at roughly $613 million, a steep decline from its all‑time high of $73.43.
